There are 8challenges available in total and it has started already. The challenges are available from May 24, 2022, at 4:00 PM UTC (16:00) to June 21, 2022, at 4:00 PM UTC (16:00).

The challenges are,

1. Microsoft 365: Building Applications and Solutions Challenge
   Learn how to design, build, test, and maintain applications and solutions optimized for the productivity and collaboration needs of organizations using the Microsoft 365 platform.
2. Azure Developer Challenge
   Learn how to design, build, test, and maintain cloud applications and services on Microsoft Azure.
3. IoT Developer Challenge
   Build expertise in implementing the configuration and coding tasks required to create and maintain the cloud and edge portions of an IoT solution.
4. Azure Cosmos DB Developer Challenge
   Design and implement data models; design and implement data distribution; integrate an Azure Cosmos DB solution; optimize an Azure Cosmos DB solution; and maintain an Azure Cosmos DB solution.
5. Power Platform: Functional Consultant Challenge
   Learn how to perform discovery, capture requirements, engage with subject matter experts and stakeholders, translate requirements, and configure Microsoft Power Platform solutions and apps.
6. Power Platform: App Maker Challenge
   Create low-code solutions to simplify and automate tasks and processes for yourself and your team. Learn how to turn your understanding of your data and the issues that need to be resolved into automated processes and app experiences with the App Maker Challenge.
7. Microsoft Security: Who Hacked? Challenge
   Reduce organizational risk by rapidly remediating active attacks in the environment, advise on improvements to threat protection practices, and referring violations of organizational policies to appropriate stakeholders.
8. Data and AI: Who Hacked? Challenge
   This is preparation for the AI Cloud Games experience

• AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure
• AZ-220: Microsoft Azure IoT Developer
• AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
• DP-420: Designing and Implementing Cloud — Native Applications Using Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB
• MS-600: Building Applications and Solutions
• PL-100: Microsoft Power Platform App Maker
• PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant
• PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
• SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
• SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator

My personal favorite here is the AI-102 which is worth $165. This as well as some of the other certifications above are advanced level certifications. We hardly get an opportunity like this.

This is a great chance to show off your skills meanwhile earning a free entry towards a Microsoft certification. Even people with an existing certification can move one step ahead in their path and get an advanced-level certification.

The challenge ends on June 21. Once you complete a challenge, a free exam voucher will be associated with your learning profile on June 30. Then you can register for any exam you like (from the above list) and schedule it.
